THE DAY I MET YOU
Zeca tries to wake up early to catch the bus and arrive on time at the school in the neighboring town, where he works as a librarian. Getting up in the morning is becoming increasingly difficult, and his employer is relentless. Everything seems lost until he meets Luísa, and his life changes completely. This film, from the state of Minas Gerais, carries a cheerful tone and light dialogue, the kind one might hear in everyday life. Award-winning director André Novais Oliveira, through his original script and cast, creates believable characters — “ordinary Brazilians” — in a story about closeness and trust.
Trivia:
Renato Novaes, one of the protagonists, is in fact the older brother of the director, André Novais Oliveira.
