Every year, in December, in the middle of the Brazilian summer, a wealthy family holds a gigantic party in their luxury beach house. This is how we find the family and its employees in the film Three Summers in 2015. But the following summer everything changes, the party is cancelled, the father of the family is imprisoned, and the mother and son are trying to flee abroad. The house remains in the hands of confused employees left without money, only with the old father of the convicted head of the family. The film's director Sandra Kogut could not have chosen a better cast for the two main victims of the confusion in the neoliberal nightmare. The cast is dominated by the staring Regina Casé, who took on the role of a maid, as well as in the film The Second Mother, which you can remember from previous years of Kina Brasil. Here, without moral or explicit comments, the director managed to show the problems of contemporary Brazil from the point of view of those who face them.
