The story of Marina, whose promising sports career in synchronized diving is just taking off. However, she suddenly starts experiencing bouts of tinnitus. The unbearable sounds in her ears resonate throughout her head and force her out of international competitions, plunging her from the diving platform into an aquarium, where she performs as a mermaid for the public. During her treatment, she meets a doctor with whom she decides to start a family, even though thoughts of continuing her synchronized diving career never leave her. The film combines sports drama with a psychological thriller. Above all, it is a "body" horror, where the greatest fear stems from something unknown, hidden within the human body. The unpleasant sound not only removes Marina from the Brazilian national team but also constantly disrupts her mental integrity. The film's scenery, with its perfect geometric patterns, is juxtaposed with a raw depiction of the bustling metropolis of São Paulo, especially the neon-adorned streets of the Liberdade district, where the main protagonist tries to escape her illness. The film had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
